We Made MannaGrove Because We Needed It Ourselves

Hi, I’m Lora—wife, mom of four young kids here and four little Saints in heaven, and caregiver to my elderly mother-in-law who lives with us. Life is beautiful, but it’s also exhausting.

After my mother-in-law had repeated falls, and I couldn't figure out a common reason for the falls, one fall too many resulted in a broken kneecap, discovering an old ACL tear, two knee immobilizers, one week stay in the hospital waiting to see if surgery would be needed, and two weeks in the rehab facility. If you too have experienced these stresses on a caregiver journey, you know what it feels like to feel overwhelmed, trying to take care of everyone, calling insurance to find out what will be covered, finding out that the basic equipment you actually need to bring your loved one home isn't covered, then trying to figure out how you're going to afford everything. Between homeschooling and managing the daily realities of caregiving I was trying to research what the best options would be because I knew we wanted her home again, sooner, rather than later. Hospital amnesia is no joke especially for someone who already has memory issues from a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

So I built MannaGrove.

You may have seen us through Day Global Group LLC, we are unique in how we function as the family member you need, the advisor, the encourager, the listener and the problem solver. My hope is that you can live your best life no matter where you are living.

We are your helper when you aren't even sure where to look, or what to even search for, but you desperately know you need help. Caregiving can be tough. It can be hard emotionally and physically taxing. The reality is there are actually really incredible products and resources available, that many people don't even know about. When I first meet a customer, I truly take the time to listen, learn your situation before just suggesting a blanket solution. Because not every house is set up the same, not every doorway is the same size, and certainly everyone's physical capabilities vary. I know space is limited, so there is no reason to sell big paperweights or clutter. However, if there is a product that will actually help you, help you save damaging your own body, then I'm all in for that!
